Running a litte late

Well the holidays are already over and 2010 has already started but it's the thoughts that count for this thing anyway right? It's time for my yearly recap. All the big events or small events that I can recall and the over all impression they had on 2009.

The year started out with good times and old friends. I got to spend the holidays last year visiting my friends and family in Arkansas. And the year ended much the same. I just returned from the longest road trip of my life to date, where I spent Christmas with my family.

In the spring of 09 I had a great change in my life. Not only did I move out of an apartment and into a house, I also found Zoey. The year wouldn't be the same without that furry little pup. And I know the years to come will be better because of her as well.

After getting Zoey lots of my days were spent out at parks, walking different paths, and exploring a completely different side of Florida. A side that I have come to love. I enjoy all the dog friendly places and attractions that the area offers and it makes me even more glad that I found Zoey.

As the year progressed into summer, my cousins came down to visit me from Arkansas. We ventured to the zoo, the beach, and the Cheesecake Factory. We built sand animals, and watched a storm come in on the beach. My parents made it down for their annual visit in September and as always it was awesome to have them visiting.

I had my giant conspiracy for Jacki. I schemed and I planned for many months in order to pull off her birthday party. It took lots of covert action and not a little bit of luck but all in all it was a success. Her 30th birthday will hopefully be one that she remembers with fondness and not dread.

My work during this year took some interesting changes. We moved into a new bigger repair shop, but we also lost our fearless leader, Rex. And although we have lots of space, new tools and toys, we still are adrift without someone in charge. The job is the same but the workplace and atmosphere are completely different. On the upside I have great bench buddies and got introduced to Golf.

In my personal career choices, I have decided that it's time to start tinkering on the side. In 2010 I hope to acquire enough tools that I can begin doing some repair in my home and start refining my skills.

The year was a good one. There were new friends, places and adventures, as well as old friends and family.

Here's hoping that this year will be just as good in it's own way.
